Despite the listing stating specifically this is not some cheap chinese ebay battery, it sure imitates one pretty well.
I spent a premium on this expecting something that fits and works perfectly with my device, unfortunately there is no way for the battery door to close flush to the gameboy, there is a huge ugly bulge in the battery door. Even after removing all the layers of protection and wrapping from the battery until all that is left is the cell, board and frame, it still bulges from the device. This battery does not fit and is way too thick.
After raising this with the store they just fobbed me off and said something to the effect of "we will update the listing to say the battery doesn't fit" but at the time of this review a number of weeks later, they never did.
I spent the same amount of money getting the funny playing battery and it is so much better, it actually fits for one thing. Very disappointed in my first (and last) order from retrogamingparts
