Gameboy Advance Flex Amp
Key features:
1) Variable volume pot labelled "TRIM". This will adjust the peak volume of the amp. Set this during install with a small flat head screwdriver. This can also provide a better range at low volume if you like to play discreetly.
2) Preinstalled additional capacitors to reduce speaker hum.
3) Includes a 2W speaker to ensure there is no distortion at peak volume
Install guide:
1) Remove the old speaker and trim off the old solder connections so they are flat with a pair of side cutters.
2) Pre-tin the GBA motherboard (see photo showing locations).
3) Solder on the flex amp at the four locations (see photo). I suggest to use a small amount of liquid flux to help neaten to joints and allow the solder to flow.
4) Solder on the speaker. (Supplied)
5) Using a small flat screwdriver, set the volume pot to the required peak level.
6) We suggest this is also paired with a wireless dehum/dehiss kit to remove the residual audio hiss.
